Questions about ordering

How do I place an order online?

Search our product catalog for the battery pack(s) you are looking for. Then follow the easily laid out steps to add the products you need to the shopping cart, and complete your order. Once you have completed the order (checked out), you will receive an e-mail from us confirming your order. You will receive a second e-mail as soon as we ship your order with tracking information.

Is my order safe on this site?

Your order is completely safe! We use secure servers supporting industry standard 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. These internal servers are behind firewall protection. When you place an order, transmissions move along the Internet in encrypted form and are decoded when they reach us. For more information please see our Privacy Policy.

How do I know if a product is available or not?

How do I know if my order has shipped?

We confirm shipment of your order by sending an e-mail. This email will have the shipped package’s UPS tracking number. Please feel free to contact us at 978-562-4300 if you have any questions.

How do I cancel my order?

You can call us immediately at 978-562-4300 or send an e-mail with subject line 'Cancel Order,' including your full name and order number. We do our best to ship your orders within 24 hrs (excluding weekends and Federal holidays) so if your order is already shipped we cannot cancel it. However, you can return it to us upon receipt by following the guidelines in our Return Policy.

How do I return or exchange an item?

How can I get a refund?

If you are not satisfied with any of our product(s) in any way, we will readily replace the product(s), or refund your money when the product(s) are returned within 30 days of purchase. After the initial 30 days of purchase, we offer replacements but not refunds for defective products up to 12 months from original purchase. Due to our aggressive pricing, shipping charges are non-refundable unless we shipped incorrect item(s). Refunds are issued in the same form of payment as in the original transaction within 10 business days of receiving your return. Please see our Return Policy for more information on how to get a refund.

What happens when an item is back-ordered?

If part or all of your order is not available for immediate shipment, we will notify you right away by email of the estimated date of availability. Then, we send the available items and keep the remaining order on a "back-order" status. The back-ordered item is shipped as soon as it becomes available.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards for online transactions: Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. We also accept PayPal, Amazon and Apple Pay. For establishments like schools, government offices, and larger businesses and corporations, we accept checks, electronic wire transfer (EFT) in US dollars, as well as the credit cards mentioned. We also welcome payments via online services such as Paypal and Google Checkout.

Questions about our products

Are your batteries refurbished or brand new?

Artisan Power only sells BRAND NEW compatible battery packs. Our packs are manufactured at our ISO 9001 certified manufacturing plants and fully conform to quality standards and guidelines applicable to OEM battery packs. Our packs often times exceed OEM specifications with higher mAh (milli amp power).

What battery cells do you use for your battery pack?

We use Japanese cells by Panasonic in our battery packs, unless otherwise noted or requested. Japanese cells are the best in terms of quality and reliability in the industry.

Why is your pricing so low?

In doing our own manufacturing, we can dramatically shorten the supply chain and pass all cost saving to our customers. Throughout the entire manufacturing process and supply chain, we tightly control our operation costs so we can pass the savings to our customers. For example, we have reduced our RMA (returned merchandise) to a very low level by using only high quality components in production.

Are your products as good as brand name OEM batteries?

Yes, they truly are. Our compatible or aftermarket battery packs are manufactured by ISO 9001 certified plants, using the highest quality cells and materials, under the same strict high standards and guidelines applicable to OEM battery packs. The only difference is the savings (up to 70% off OEM list price) you will enjoy. Best of all, in many cases we provide warranties that are longer than the ones you would typically find with OEM purchases. Lower prices, longer warranty and supreme quality all help you make a smarter buying decision as well as rewards you with a better return on your investment.

What is the shelf life of your battery packs?

If stored properly, the shelf life of our products is typically 2 years.

Do all of your products have money-back guarantee?

Artisan Power Batteries carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with our products in any way, we will gladly replace the product or refund your money when products are returned within 30 days of purchase. All refunds are issued in the same form of payment used in the original transaction within 30 business days of receiving your return. Important: If you purchase multiple batteries and opt for a return within 30 days, please try only ONE set at a time to determine whether you are satisfied before opening the rest. Please note that after the first set, only unopened products, in original packaging qualify for a refund. After the initial 30 days, most defective products are still covered for replacement up to 12 months from original purchase but no refunds can be issued. Due to our aggressive pricing, we cannot refund shipping charges unless we shipped incorrect item(s). Please refer to our Return Policy on how to initiate the return for replacement or refund process.

How much do I save by using replacement batteries from Artisan Power?

You will have real savings of up to 70% off OEM list prices you find with the OEM. Actual savings depend on the battery packs you use. To give you a better understanding of the real money saved by purchasing our aftermarket replacement packs, please take a look at the following: Motorola battery part number NTN8818 is used in Motorola Saber / Astro Series two way radios. The Motorola suggested retail price for the 1700 mAH, Li-ion chemistry battery pack is $175.00. The Artisan Power part number RB-4588-L19 is a fully compatible alternative with 1950mAh capacity that you can purchase for only $75.00 which leaves you with around 57% savings with 15% more power juice! Questions about shipping

How can I recycle Artisan Power’s batteries?

We participate in portable rechargeable battery problems by Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC). For all used Lithium-ion, Nickel-Metal Hydride and Nickel-Cadmium batteries, you can either drop off at a RBRC program collection location near you, or send back by freight prepaid to our company for proper recycling. You can call 1-800-822-8837 or go to www.rbrc.org and click on "Find a dropoff site near you”.

When does my order ship?

All orders (of in stock items) placed Monday-Friday before 3:00 pm EST will ship the same business day. Orders placed after 3:00 pm EST will ship the next business day. Orders placed after 3:00 pm EST on Friday, will ship the following Monday. We are closed on all national holidays, so no shipping will be done on those days.

How much will shipping cost me?

We offer free ground shipping for all domestic orders over $100.00. Orders less than $100.00 are charged a flat rate of $7.00 for UPS of FedEx ground shipping. These rates and promotions are only applicable to our customers located in the continental U.S. Please review our Shipping Policy for more details.

What locations do you ship to?

We currently ship to all locations in the U.S.  International orders are subject to the Restricted Countries List for Dangerous Goods, because lithium ion batteries are considered Dangerous Goods.  For more information, please refer to our Shipping & Returns page, or call us at 978-562-4300.

Do you offer overnight shipping?

We do offer overnight shipping at the request of the customer. For expedited shipping services such as overnight or second day shipping, the customer is responsible for all shipping charges.

Questions about compatibility

What is OEM? Do you sell OEM products?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. The OEM is the brand name of your device, and its original battery.  We do NOT sell OEM battery packs. Artisan Power offers only brand new compatible battery packs that are guaranteed to perform just as good if not better than the OEM brands in terms of quality and performance - all with significant cost savings to you.

What do the terms “compatible”, “replacement” or “aftermarket" mean?

“Compatible”, “replacement” or “after market” are 100% brand new batteries that are made specifically for your wireless equipment by manufacturers other than OEMs. They are manufactured to match or exceed OEM specifications and they deliver the same quality results just like the OEMs would. Artisan Power replacement battery packs are developed by ISO9001 certified manufacturing plants using state of the art technology for the finest quality batteries. Each battery pack is tested throughout the manufacturing process to match or outperform the original equipment’s specifications for form, fit and workmanship. In addition, our replacement battery packs save you up to 70% on your cost price when compared to the OEM.

Will my OEM warranty be voided if I use replacement battery?

Two words: ABSOLUTELY NOT! The use of replacement or aftermarket battery packs will not void your warranty in any way. Indeed, this has been clearly protected by the following legislation: MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY IMPROVEMENT ACT Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act United States Code Annotated Title 15 Commerce and Trade Chapter 50 Consumer Product Warranties 15 Section 2302 states that: "No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumer's using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade or corporate name; except that the prohibition of this subsection may be waived by the commission if: 1) The warrantor satisfies the Commission that the warranted product will function properly only if the article or service so identified is used in connection with the warranted product, and 2) The Commission finds that such a waiver is in the public interest."

Will your battery packs damage my device?

No. All battery packs are manufactured by ISO 9001 certified plants to meet or exceed OEM performance and will not damage your equipment in any way. Please let us know if you have specific concerns and we will be pleased to address them.

Do you offer government and corporate discounts?

Yes, we do. Artisan Power offers higher discounts to government agencies and corporate end users that purchase in volume. How do I set up a Bill Me (Net 30) account with Artisan Power?

We accept purchase orders and fax orders from establishments like school systems, colleges and universities, government and public safety organizations, and corporate accounts.
